Green Hamburg

Lying on the Elbe River, Hamburg is a historical town having a network of canals that match those of Venice. Hamburg has earned for itself the name 'Germany's green city' most probably because of the water. To boot, it also sports an approximate of 1400 parks and gardens. Isn't that something amazing?

Hamburg tourist attractions are entertaining destinations and it is the gateway to the seaside and spa resorts of the Baltic and North Sea coastline. The Altona Fish Market is a lively and colorful chief attraction here on Sunday mornings and has been since 1703. After shopping, you can have a lovely meal in the restaurant in the historic Fish Auction Hall while enjoying live musical entertainment to soothe away your tired limbs and mind. The 'Speicherstadt' is the world's oldest warehouse complex. It is presently a major tourist attraction having an open-air theatre, a spice museum, a miniature exhibition and a Russian submarine for exploration. The illumination of the Speicherstadt creates a captivating spectacle and the fun is to view it from a boat on a harbor night tour. People looking for some gory details of the city's history, can have an interactive experience in another chief attractive draw for touriststhe 'Hamburg Dungeon'.

To view some finer aspects of life dating across the time spectrum from the Middle Ages to the present, one can tour Hamburg's premier art gallery, the 'Hamburger Kunsthalle'. Here the aim is to provide an educational tour about art with exhibitions constantly changing to introduce new forms of art.

For some fun in surf and sand, conduct a Hamburg tour to the island of Sylt. A popular seaside resort it offers one the best of sandy beaches and stunning views. You will also be spellbound when you go cycling through miles of pine forests. A tour of Hamburg is pure entertainment all the way!
